		<description>If you rubbed down to the plaster you should have used a primer.  Put some primer on the flaking areas (rub them down first) and then a coat of the paint.  It will be OK.</description>

A coating helps to make the paint stick better and seals the wall.

I think you should buy bathroom paint and ask about the coating that goes along with the paint.
The paint has to keep on the layer of coating or else it won&#8217;t work.
People in diy-stores can help out.</description>

		<description>Yes you have to roll on a coat of primer first like kilz or zinsser primer/sealer and let dry overnight. (don&#8217;t use the shower)

You&#8217;ll have to re-scrape and sand smooth, wipe down the wall with a damp rag/sponge
to remove sanding dust, prime then paint with bathroom/kitchen paint, wait a day after painting before using the shower to let paint cure.</description>
