		<description>I wonder if the transition from heating systems created some holes somewhere allowing mice to invade.

If it were me I would by a dozens of traps and use corn chips or Rolaids for bait and scatter them all over. 

Get some tongs and paper sacks for disposal, throw the whole trap out to save you the unpleasant chore of removing &#8220;Mickey&#8221; and resetting the trap.

I don&#8217;t like the chemicals the exterminators use, this is a greener way to do it. And much cheaper.</description>

		<description>I hate to say this but it sounds you have not mice but wood boring wasps or yikes termites&#8211; last year in my house &#8212; Central Canada &#8211;we had a infestation of wood boring wasps that recked havoc in our basement every hole I saw them going into from the outside  just before sunset I plugged with  plastic after spraying wasp killer in the hole and as the summer came to an end fewer bugs were showing up to use my house as a vacation spot&#8211; hope this helps&#8211;</description>
