I have toyed with the idea of getting into interior design now for a while,but have always wondered if their really is any demand for it,especially now with the economy in the state that its in.I love saving money anyway that I can,the challenge kinda gives me a rush so I thought, what if I was a designer that worked on helping individuals who are on tight budgets,say I they have $1,000 to work with (not including my pay,but it will be reasonable) and I could redesign a kitchen or living space for that.do you think this would go over good.

Look into interior decorating or staging.interior designing totally different. This is what decorators all do.they work with budgets of their clients.the size of which will depend on your location/experience in the business. Much is in the marketing of your business as to the direction you wish to pursue. Good luck with your business venture.check out how many local stagers/decorators are in your area to get an idea of competition.
