You can get a thermometer you can hang inside your oven for about $4 at Wal-Mart or Target. So you can set your oven and figure out if it’s calibrated correctly and adjust if it’s off.

Actually, most grocery stores have them, they are oven thermometers and have a tab on top that you can loop around the baking rack, or sit on the rack. You could also find them at department store like walmart

That sounds very strange, why dont you google the maker and model of your over to find out where the temperature display is.

If you set the oven for 350 it should automatically heat up to 350.

But if you still want to make sure you could easily buy an oven thermometer at wal-mart, target or wherever to verify the oven is heating to what you set.

But if it already is “so good for baking” either because you already use it or because you bought it from something else that told you it was great, then you shouldnt have a problem seeing what the temperature is.

If the problem is that your baked good are coming out over cooked, you may have a convection oven where everything cooks in about 1/4 of the normal time. That might be your problem.

If the stuff is coming out uncooked you might not be leaving it in long enough or not have a high enough temperature.

Please give some more details so the yahoo answers community can really help you.

Thanks.
