I would like to get new kitchen cabinets, fridge, oven stove top for my apartment. I think I need permission from my landlord.
I don’t want my landlord making the changes because he would raise my rent but I want to make the repairs myself.I think I need permission from my landlord. Can he deny my request. I know this guy is an sob and might want a bribe.

HOLD IT, STOP RIGHT THERE. Please do not under any circumstances do what you are planning. The property IS NOT yours. Furthermore if anything goes wrong like damaged walls you could be held liable.
My suggestion is: Move to an apartment with updated cabinetry and appliances.

The apartment is not yours. You can’t make improvements without permission. If you get permission get it in writing.
Why would you want to make improvements on an apartment you are renting. That’s like putting new tires on a rental car. You’re spending your money to increase the value of something someone else owns. If the cabinets concern you that much find a new apartment.

New cabinets, counter tops, appliances, electrical, and plumbing. If you do this, what happens when your lease is up. who really benefits.
What if the landlord sues for the old cabinets because he doesn’t like your choice. If you have an extra $10K, why not look at buying your own home to put cabinets into. DO NOT DO IT.
