Look at Dutch Boy color “Buttered Up” (it can be found at Walmart and other dutch boy retailers). It is a VERY muted beigey type color with just a HINT of yellow. This is what my husband and I chose for our living room to brighten it up without using straight white.

You may try a lighter green color since you’ve already put up a dark kitchen cabinet. I think a lighter color will be more pleasing in the eyes as you walk into your kitchen.
