What wall color would go well with a grey carpet.

Our home is a total blank canvass.and boring. Grey carpet throughout with espresso color floor in the kitchen. White cabinets and white trim/millwork.

I was thinking of painting the kitchen a very light grey with a light blue/aqua accent wall. And the living room.taupe/beige with a blue accent wall. Do you think that would look ok. I’m trying very hard not to make it ugly.

what’s the proper way of installing kitchen wall cabinets.

i have seen in diy shows that you have to fit into the studs. how will you know which part of the cabinet will hit the stud. and what if the stud is not in the center of the cabinet. thanks.
