Dad Trouble Please Help x.

My dad is been a pain at the moment, last night i wanted him to ring up orange (The phone company) to just check something because i wasnt sure what to do and he went “I cant there is no signal” So i went “Yeah there is. There’s some here.” But he went and sat down to watch TV.
I said “Why can’t you be bothered” and he was like “Because theres no signal.” And my mum went to him “Theres some in the kitchen why don’t you do it for her.” So i said “Because he doesnt want to,”
So he proper shouted at me to get stuffed.

I needed him to do it last night because he is working away now and me and my mum have no idea.
So i went back down to get a drink of water about ten minutes later and I cant remember what happened but he told me to get stuffed again and that he was doing something when i asked him (He wasn’t he sat down with coffee watching TV) Then he started going on about everything I have done wrong in the past 15 years.

My mum just sat there and came up to see if i was alright about an hour later (I had fallen asleep and just muttered i dont want my phone anyway)

And now i found out he has started smoking again which he knew i hated.

I don’t no what to do, right now im pretty sure i hate him, and i think he’s always hated me x

how to redo my old kitchen cabinets.

I recently brought an older home with 1960’s wooden cabinets. I was wondering if it can be sanded and redone in a darker wood finish. I would like to keep the wood look, just hate that 60’s look. or what colors could I paint them if i can’t refinish them. I have beige counter top. or more Contemporary look I was thinking.or modern feel

how do i keep cockroaches away from pantry.

I am having problems right now regarding small cockroaches that keeps on crawling inside the pantry and the kitchen cabinet drawers.i can’t just spray them with insect repellents since the food and kitchen utensils are there.what do i do.

Right now our OLD cabinets are painted off white (did last year) with new stainless circle knobs with white in the middle of them. Our new appliances are white. I am thinking of changing the cabinets to black but I am not sure how it will look with white appliances which are new so no changing them now
I am redoing the wallpaper to this (we live in an old county house):

with maybe a stripe on the bottom, print on top.
Right now it has wallpaper that will be taken off but behind it is painted paneling so I have to cover it up with something hence wallpaper

Oh we are getting new countertops and flooring too so that isn’t a problem matching what is there now.

I will try to post pics later of what we have now.

Has anyone had any experience with Amana kitchen appliances.

I am doing a kitchen remodel and have found an Amana refrigerator I like. I’d like to purchase the same name brand for all the other appliances - range, dishwasher, and over-the-range microwave.
Amana’s prices seem reasonable, and their website is impressive. Does anyone know anything about Amana big kitchen appliances.

(about) how much does it cost to re-model a kitchen that is fairly small.

about 25 feet in length and in wight- 7 feet.
oh, yeah, how much more would it be if I would want to make it. say. about three feet bigger.

I just wanna remodel my parents kitchen. They have dreamed to do so in such a while. I’d like to help them out.

I am planning to have my house rented out. Should I remodel it first before having it rented out.

Should I do some fixing of the house like repainting the walls, landscaping the garden, remodeling the kitchen, etc before having it rented out. or should I leave it as is and have a lower monthly rental rate.

Cost to remodel the kitchen. The house we are planning to buy has the electric cooking range on the island.

I recently completed a small remodel job on our kitchen. My wife is keen on staining the unfinished oak front (inexpensive) cabinets. I’m thinking how about a little color and paint instead. Any recommendations on brand (middle of the road) with low gloss and waterproof. Also, do I need a wood conditioner like the good folks at Lowes’s recommended if I stain. If not, do I need any kind of primer or anything else. Many thanks to all you pro’s

What is best safest permanent lighting for a wooden garden shed house .

The work on our garden gym is now approaching its end. Insulation, plastering etc has been completed.

Now we need to figure out what kind of lighting we are going to have.
Our shed is 12foot by 12foot and it is 10foot to 9foot high (sloping roof).

and the builder bought over 2 fire rated spot lights (50w) each and they look like this: http://nextday.diy.com/app/jsp/product/productPage.jsp.productId=54025

I’m not convinced 2 of these will properly light up our big shed. The walls will be painted white and so will the ceiling. Also I’m not sure they will even look good.

I was thinking of going for normal house lights but 2 and just get some energy saver bulbs or just go for one of those long kitchen lights. I need to make up my mind before tomorrow.

Advice would be appreciated.
