Do, or have your parent(s) ever beat you.

About 3 months ago, my mom and I got into a bad argument. I said something she didn’t like, so she slapped me, and grabbed onto my shirt. I pulled away, and began running. She chased me into the kitchen, and she was chasing me around the counter. So I threw down a chair from the table in the space between the counter and the cabinet, to slow her down. I continued running and started up the stairs. Then I realized, she had picked up the broom, and she hit my legs, and I tripped and fell on the stairs. I tried to crawl back up, but it was too late. She grabbed my leg, dragged me down the stairs, and pushed me against the wall. She slapped me and starting beating on and punching me while screaming harsh things. Then she pushed me down.
Do your parents beat you. Any stories.
Nah, I don’t get abused. My mom hardly ever beats me, only like 2x a year. Not usually as bad as the above.
I’m 14, and I don’t get beat as often as I used to.

My parents disciplined me as a child, but I always deserved it and I feel I’m a better person now because of it. My parents never punched me though.

yes and to be honest with you, my experience was very similar to yours. luckily, such incidents no longer happen since I try to be a good daughter these days. Almost 5 years ago, I was hit by a large science book in the head(weighing around 2 to 3 pounds), and I was hit many times on the head, and whenever I’d try to lay my head, my head would ache and hurt. I’m happy to hear I’m not the only one experiencing the same thing. Anyway, I have many similar experiences to share with you, but what’s important for you to know is if your mother’s experienced abuse before in her childhood, either from one of her guardians or parents would definitely explain her behavior and how she’s disciplining you. also depends on what you’ve said, what did you say anyway.

Yeah, I’ve taken my lumps, but it was for the best. My mom wasn’t (and isn’t) one for any insubordination. Say something smart a**ed to her, and it didn’t take her much time to grab a belt.and well, you already can figure out the rest. She said that if she needed to, she’d get a broom on me (I’m almost a foot taller than she is). It didn’t take much for me to learn my lesson. My brother on the other hand needs a little more discipline.

my mom had to “beat” me a few times growing up, and i turned out perfectly behaved because of it.
i remember once my aunt beat me. because my father wouldnt lay a hand on me and my mother wasnt there to do it, so he had my aunt do it. in all honesty i deserved it though.

I remember getting beat like lets see one, two, three, four.
Four times. I remember getting choked by my mom because my sister lied and said I choked her. My two other siblings put their fingerprints in a cake and there happen to be three so they thought it was each of us and I got beat. Hit by a phone book and beat by my dad.
I didn’t get beat a lot, but then again I wasn’t a bad child.

Yes, my parents beat the SH*T out of me. But that was in the 70’s and you couldn’t call the cops or get anyone to feel sorry for you back then. You just had to suck it up. I didn’t deserve it, I was too terrified to TRY to piss off my folks, I just had to put up with it. What you described is crazy for having just an argument. Do you have a WISE elder you can turn to.

My dad would spank me with a wooden ruler,or switch,or wooden backscratcher
and my mom has only slapped me twice,once cause I told some things apparently i wasn’t supposed to tell and because we got into this huge arguement,and I said alot of things I shouldn’t have been saying and i admit,i went to far with words and I got personal,and she slapped me lol

My mother was a monster.
She always disliked me because my grandmother favored me over her and I think she was jealous.
One morning she whipped me so hard I peed on myself, and I had to go to school like that.
The sad thing is she doesnt even remember doing alot of this because she had a drug addiction at the time.
