How much did it cost you to remodel your kitchen.

I am looking to gut out a kitchen and start from scratch. New floor, cabinets, etc. I will be going “middle of the road” prices and getting decent used things if possible (stove, fridge, etc.). About how much did it cost you to remodel your kitchen.

My roof is leaking AGAIN. How can I break this lease.

Every single time it has rained heavily since we moved into this apartment the roof has leaked. We have taken photos, made videos of it, etc. My cell phone bill shows every single time I have called the landlord and I never call him just to chat, it is for repairs.

Sure, he is going about coming over within 24 hours to “fix” the leak, but the same spots keep leaking and leaking no matter what cheap patch he puts on. He assures me he will get the roof redone, but hes trying to find a cheaper estimate.

The bottom line is I have a 1 year old child who gets stuck playing in the kitchen some days because the living room, bedroom, and entry way leak on and off whenever we have heavy rain.

Since he does make a small effort to fix the roof after every complaint do I have any right to break my lease. This is getting stupid. I can’t keep furniture in parts of the house because I need the area below the leaky spots to be clear so nothing gets wet.

I live in Illinois if that helps.

We are buying a home on forclosure in pretty good shape. I was wondering how much it would cost to remodel some of the rooms. the kitchen needs completely the walls are ok but need paint everything else needs done from cabinets to appliances. we want to keep this to a max of around 3 thousand for the kitchen
the kitchen measures 16×11
We also want to put up new drywall, paint, and refinish the hardwood floors in 3 rooms. they measure
# Living room is 14×15
# Dining room is 15×14.5
# Family room is 15.3×15

We also need to paint and lay new carpet in 2 of the bedrooms I don’t have exact measurements for those but they are fairly small
We also need to put new windows in a couple of rooms aprox 5 windows total and paint about 6 other rooms on top of the ones I just mentioned aprox how much would the remodeling supplies cost for all of this if we do the work ourselves. Rounding high Thanks

Can I move an EA game that I bought from online and downloaded, to another PC.

So I bought and downloaded the Sims 2 Kitchen and Bath Interior Design game. I downloaded it on a friends computer because I didn’t have internet on my laptop at that moment. Now It’s in the EA Download Manager, but I want to move it to my own computer. Is there a way to do that. I looked for the files of it on his computer but there aren’t any. I am way confused, Can anyone help or is there no way to move it to a different pc.

Is this normal for dads to be so terrible.

Hi yahoo answers: I want to know whether most dads are like this and whether my dad is insane.
I’m 14 and my life stinks. i think that it all leads back to the fact that my dad is the most controlling person I know who has serious anger problems. My mom works late so I don’t get to see her much and when I tell her of my problems w/my dad , shes always likee thats stupid or blows it off and says that he does a lot for me.i think whhat he does is out of obligation and not pure desire. I hate my dad. I kno it may seem terrible to say, but you DONT know my dad
1. HE gives me no privacy.he doesnt ever want me to close my door and he even installed a reverse peephole in my door (so that my mom&dad can see what im doin inside my room when they’re standing outside the door) .he only lets me close it when im changing and despite that, he just walks in whenever he wants.
2. I’m a good student , straight A student who works hard but of course, him being very biased says that early high school is sooo easy when its definitely not. i work on my HW late into the nite.
3. he can be so threatening and get angry VERY easily. i always have to help him cook and stand by him for an 40 mins everynite. its terrible cooking w/him. he walks into me all the time.he pushes me aside roughly when im standing in front of something he needs. he never “‘asks” me to do things.he demands them.and he doesnt say please often. today, when he told me to open a soup pot that was boiling, i took it off and it surprised me cuz it was very hot so i dropped it on the counter. no harm done, no mess, but he gritted his teeth and said “dont’ be clumsy because i am tired and u r making me lose my temper. be on ur best behavior” and he often threatens me for the silliest things like using my laptop too much and says thigns like “do that again and i’ll spank u”.”do that again or i’m going to beat u” it scares me. when i was in elementary school, when i made accidnets or dropped things, he used to spank me on the butt to punish me. IT was a mistake. WHY cant he understand that. when does mistakes, its not like he reprimands himself. when i used his computer once and accidentally got a virus on his computer.( i was 12) he took a ruler and yelled for me to come down and he hit my arm really hard it stung really badly.
4. He swears constantly.always says the f-word.if i accidentally drop something on the floor or i bump into him.he’ll be like “stop being so f***ing careless.mistakes and accidents dont happen on their own. ur being lazy.” he yells all the time when i make just lil tiny mistakes.
5. hes become like a dictator now.hhe took away my laptop from my room so i can only use it for certain periods of time in his office where hes constantly on his computer sitting next to me monitoring how long im doing things. he doesnt like me watching too many youtube videos.its not a big deal for a few hours. for movies.he says i shouldnt like Tyra Banks or become too “american” and floozy. ihate that word. im not an idiot or an airhead.
5. he doesnt respect me.he doesnt listen often and when i bother telling him things about my day.hes like i dont need to listen to that nonsense. i think it leads a lot back to his insecurities i guess. cuz my mom is fairly successful at her job, my dad works part time at home as a website designer. not exactly MAJOR high paying job.so alotta the times he tells me how much he does at the house so we’ll believe hes doing tons but whenever im in the kitchen washing dishes, hes right outside watching TV or reading the online news or watching badminton videos
7. he cuts my internet off every nite at 9:25.i need more time than that to do my hw. i have to ask him to specially turn it back on if i really need it. BUT it is so annoying he thinks i use my computer too much but often times im doin hw and research

What would cause nails to come up through a linoleum floor.

My mom bought this house barely about six months ago and we are now noticing nails coming up through the linoleum tiles in the bathroom and kitchen which were remodeled before we bought the house. The guy who we bought it from did some really shotty remodeling work on a low budget, but we’re just noticing the nails now.

We are remodeling our kitchen, dining room, and bathroom. The box of tile can do thirty square feet. What is that equivalent to in actual feet. How much of an area can that cover.

puppy training question:.

Our puppies (2 Labrador retriever mixes (sisters)) are chained to our pantry door in the kitchen so that our sharpei mix (she’s old) and our border collie/lab mix can roam free with out the puppies to bother them. this was all great until today when we came home to find the tiling tore up near the door. They had appropriate chew toys within reach but preferred the tiling. Any suggestions on how to make them choose the toys and not the tiling.
we only chain them there when the weather’s not good and they cant go outside. they usually spend their time in the back yard all day, but the weather hasn’t been too good
the big dogs have to get into the kitchen for water. they wont drink it anywhere else bc they only acknowledge it there. also gates are usually chewed on by our sweet little angels.

How do I talk to mom w/o being so nervous. What should I say.

I need the following 2 items off eBay. They would be worn in a state final and a national pageant in the casual wear category. They would also be worn when going shopping and such.I already ahve a pair of matching wedge heels to go with them. This outfit would get me real far in my opinion. I have 25$ to help pay for it. and I would do the following chores to help pay fpr the rest of it:
