Who should I write to use these labels.

By on March 31st, 2009

I am cleaning out my pantry in my kitchen (a job that has been neglected for FAR TOO LONG.)
I am scavenging through ‘all the stuff’ that has managed to pile in there.
I find a LIBRARY of self-adhesive mailing labels with my mailing info. from misc. companies %Red Cross, American Diabetes Foundation, American Kennel Club, etc.
Myself being one who reasons “WHY NOT.” when posed with an opportunity, I view these many (well over 2,000.) mailing labels as an opportunity to use them.before they all dry out.

My question is who should I snail-mail in aim to use these many mailing labels. Since everyone I know already has an E-mail address and prefers E-correspondence over snail mail, I know no one to snail mail.
Also with the outrageous POSTAL costs that everyone pays, I wonder if this will be worth the expense.
Well, for all who know me know how *tight* I can get when it comes to spending money (I am known to squeeze the blood out of a Turnip to save a penny.)
Anyone with ideas is appreciated to reply.
Thanks

Recycle them and next time you make a charitable donation, request that they keep you off their mailing list so that the labels are never printed in the first place. This is an environmentally friendly choice and saves the charity some money.

Just use them in place of sticky tape. Turnips have blood.

You could put them on a piece of paper in an interesting design and frame it.

You could wallpaper a wall with them. If you run out, your friends can contribute their collection.

In the future, when they come in the mail, write on the package: “Unsolicited Mail - Return to Sender”. We find all it takes to get this stuff is to donate once, and you are forever on their mailing list. Every Easter, Christmas, etc. they send labels. It is the professional marketers who charities use that do that. They may be effective, but in this day and age, as you say, why use the post office. email. Pay bills on the internet. Use credit cards. Don’t get printed bills. Don’t mail checks. No need for those little labels.

One more thing, if your name has any remote chance of being misspelled, it will be.

    That’s my 2 cents.

a good use for mailing labels is to put them in your books instead of writing your name in them.that’s what i do.
