I’m not a man, but if both parents have equal time with the kids, then neither should be paying child support, UNLESS a custodial home was assigned by the court. In that case, the non-custodial parent pays support.

Whoever this woman is, needs to get a family law attorney so that she can become the custodial parent.

i would never take child support from her as raising a child is hard enough i would rather try and get along with the ex so that my kids are not caught in the middle and mentally screwed.

Mat 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
She cannot divorce Him for that, just leave.
Yes, but He needs to get a job.

He is a jerk if he does it sounds like she was more than fair in the divorce. She is shouldering the biggest part of the care for the children so the only reason he would do that is to help himself

No way. In fact I think the arrangement is very generous on behalf of the husband. The woman could easily get primary custody of the kids and the husband would have to pay support regardless of what she makes.

If the guy knows what’s good for him he will leave well enough alone.
If not it’s a no brainier to figure out what a judge would do and trust me he’s getting off the hook way easy compared to most divorced guys I know.

That is not the law in my state. In fact in the situation that you just described, equal placement, there is usually no child support paid to either parent. The parents are to pay equal shares towards the children’s needs. Ask me how that works, when the ex is an irresponsible idiot. My ex-never followed the placement that was designated by the court in the first place. I never fought him on it because the kids were better off with me. And no, I am not well-to-do. I worked a full and part-time job for years to provide for my kids because I knew I would never be able to count on their father to be responsible.

I think that both parents need to have some financial accountability to their children regardless of their income.

I’m not a man either, but I do have some input. My husband has 2 wonderful little girls. the oldest we have had custody of for years n her mother just comes n goes from her life as she pleases. B*tch, lol. The youngest is 3, and he n the mother have 50/50 custody. But, he still has to pay her almost $100 bucks a week because she is too lazy to get a real job (not cause she cant, cause she refuses.she even said this in court.) I find it highly unfair to my husband to have to pay for her to sit at home most of the time because she CHOOSES not to find a better way to support herself and her children. Not to mention.as I said, according to court papers, their custody is 50/50. In reality, we have her 98% of the time because the mother wants the money without having to actually use it to support the child, the way its meant to be used. So.if the father truly needs it to support his child/children, then yes, go for it. If it’s simply to be spiteful or just because he can, then no.

if you have joint custody then no one should pay support. just because one parent makes less money than another does not make them a better parent or make them more able to provide a good environment for the child(ren). if everything else is split 50/50 and both parents are able to provide a secure place for the child to come stay with them then that’s all that matters
