Is it a bad spirit or just poltergiest(s).

My aunt was coming over very early in the morning so she was here around 6am. She left some of her bags in the car so she went out to get them. When she tried to come back in the dead bolt had been locked. She had to knock to wake us up to let her in. We went back to bed and she was the only one awake. At 9am I woke up and went down stairs. I asked why she locked herself out. She said that when she left the dead blot had been locked. I told her that almost all dead bolts have to be locked from the inside or out, we have the usual lock on the inside to keep animals, burglars, ect. out. I told her according to zillow.com the house was built in the 1920’s and was renovated in 1964. We think we have 3 spirits, a young girl between the ages of 4 and 7 and two men. She got nervous but shrugged it off. 2 hours later when everyone was here we were just waiting for the turkey. So I let a cat in from outside. Less then ten minutes later I had to let in my aunt because the dead bolt was locked. Now she was very nervous, to the point where we had to reassure her that my room was safe for her to sleep in. After dinner everyone was falling asleep so I stepped aside and inspected the door. The dead blot was sturdy and at times you have to use quite some strength to lock the door. It fit with the recent occurrences, just the day before I had been locked in my room. This door is located in one of the newest renovated rooms, the mud room. I have lived here three years and when we moved in the room was unfinished. It had construction papers all over it. It is a very small room that you just walk through, its too small to put anything in. It could be a closet I guess. The door is connected to the kitchen, the pantry is new but the main kitchen is original. The total renovated rooms are the office, mud room, and pantry. Everything else is believed to be original. So does this spirit not like my aunt or just trying to make itself known.

From your story, I’d say its the presence of one or more of the 3 spirits which you had researched on. If your family has been living there without any disturbance so far, then its that spirit that doesn’t like your aunt.
All of us are reincarnated from past lives on this earth. Your aunt is no exception. From the spirit’s reaction, he/she must be angry or hateful at your aunt for something she did to him/her in your aunt’s past life. If the spirit were being naughty or cheeky, I doubt it be trying to keep your aunt out everytime, rather it be doing more random different things each time to scare or frustrate her.
What I may suggest is as long as it doesn’t get to a point where the spirit becomes harmful, or until you feel it has disturbed her too frequently, then your aunt can just ignore it. Of course if your aunt doesn’t believe in spirits, then you have to explain to her in some other way to stay elsewhere. Hope this has helped.

So the dead lock is locking itself just a few minutes after someone has used it. It’s sturdy at times. Sounds like a faulty lock, perhaps you can’t always completely open it, and it is just flicking itself back into the locked or partially locked position. Ditto your bedroom. Call a locksmith. I don’t think you need to invoke supernatural beings as an explanation.

Nevertheless, sound like you door lock is similar to the lock that fixed at the hotel room door that is auto lock and only can be opened from inside. Perhaps you aunt don’t know that you house door is auto lock.

Yes, as one girl mentioned . the spirits are either good or bad. If they are playing tricks then it’s more likely that theyre bad or ‘negative’ in nature.
Please use the house clearing remedies that I advised on http://www.spiritualresearchfoundation.org, if your really that worried then this will put your mind to rest. There’s no use worrying, get to action.
If you use the clearing tools and their is still activity shortly after the time of the clearing with no change then it’s probably just your imagination (an old house).

You need a new lock.
It likely ‘flips’ by itself when the door closes. I lived in a house once that had an older lock and the latch inside just broke down.
