Is there any way to fix tile that was never sealed without taking it up.
By on August 5th, 2008
We are remodeling our house, putting down new carpet and painting etc,. Our kitchen floor has tile in it but it was never sealed. The person who owned it b4 us had someone put it in and they never finished the job. I want to know if there is a way I can sand it or do somthing to clean it and seal it so we don’t have to remove the whole floor in the kitchen, hall, and a down stairs bathroom floor. It doesn’t have to look perfect just at least kind of nice. Thanks.
Are the Kitchen Classic knives made by Cold Steel any good
By on August 4th, 2008
Does anyone use Cold Steel’s kitchen knives. I was looking at them online and thinking of getting them. I know that they make good pocket knives and swords but wondered about the kitchen knives. I know they’re sharp but is the balance good. Anything I should know about before I make a purchase.
How much should it cost to renovate a 1200 square foot bungalow from the 1950s.

My parents just bought a fixer upper bungalow that was built in the 50s. It’s 60′ x 20′ and just about everthing inside needs tearing out and redoing. We’re either thinking of keeping all the walls the way they are and leaving it as a 3 bedroom 2 bath 2 kitchen 2 living 2 dining room home (it’s set up as 2 apartments) OR tearing out all the interior walls and completely redesigning it and rebuilding it, with the same duplexe thing going on but with 4 bedrooms rather than 3.
Is tearing out interior walls and rebuilding them going to be that much more expensive if everything’s pretty much got to be rewired and all the plumbing fixed up.
The house is in San Diego near the beach. I’m guessing building costs are low these days. But if you’re a builder (perhaps in southern california) or an interior designer or an architect, what costs do you think we’d be looking at in general. In terms of quality we’re thinking in the realm of about 7 out of 10.
Where can I get pictures of high gloss kitchen cabinets.
By on August 2nd, 2008
European cabinets are becoming very popular because of their stylish and modern looks. I would like to get pictures of, specifically, bright blue high gloss laquered kitchen cabinets. I saw something like this in a book, but I want to, kind of, collect pictures for my dream kitchen one day.
Thanks.
So how does real estate developing/investing work.

I’m preapproved for 400k.
My uncle is a contracter, my bro is a foreman roofer, 2 of my bros are inspectors and i can get anything new from full baths, tiles/hardwood floors, kitchens, etc. at less than half the price(who can’t.)
I have like 6 grand for remodel. So would i need another loan to remodel. Can i get inspections before buying the house.
I know i need money for monthly mortgage for the while I’m remodeling. So, what is it that i have/need to do to have a successful “FLIP”.
CORRECTION- 2 of my bros friends are home inspectors.
