I need help with my apartments cockroach problem.

By on August 31st, 2008

We can’t move until December. Our landlord & Managers are not helping (they have pest control here two times a month) but the population of cockroaches has gotten larger since Feb (when someone moved in across the hall and brought them in their furniture then bombed the place twice bringing them to our place and another neighbors but their infestation isn’t as bad). Before we didn’t really see them (1 or 2 a month) now they are in my TV (64in) couch, my kids toy box everywhere except the bedrooms. Before we move i need to get this under control (I don’t want to have to give up all our furniture) I keep our kitchen clean of all food items after each meal (hard to do when you have a 1yr and a 2 yr old) and i only allow our cat to eat and drink two times a day. We take the garbage out every night but nothing is working and it’s getting worse I’ve thought about bombs but with my children and my cat i don’t want residue to be available to them. can someone give me ideas to get rid of them or suggestions on what to do when we move (It will be snowing we live in Wisconsin) I don’t want to get rid of our TV, Couch or Dinning room, and I can’t get rid off all the toys but most of them are going. Can I bomb the inside of our TV it’s a projection and they are inside the Tv now
OK i just had my 2 year old daughter walk up to me with one on her hand she say’s she found it on the couch I freaked out she didn’t Also I can not spend a lot of money (I just lost my job) and my landlord/managers will not help with closing the openings that are around the home (gaps, loose countertop)

Combat quick kill formula. Its the best. We had the same problem with our neighbor. They were everywhere. This stuff is like little square things with poison inside it. It attracts the roaches and when they go in to feed they take the poisoned food back to there nest and all the others eat it to. It takes about a week. The poison is inside them so they won;t hurt your cat or kids. Put them in the bathrooms and kitchen, etc. Also keep taking the trash out everynight and don;t leave food or dirty dishes out. Hope this helps.

You have to keep the place spotless. Usually they build immunity to the various chemicals. For those little roaches those small black containers where the roaches go in work really well, because the poison attaches to their legs and they take it back to wherever they are living. If you can’t fix it I would look to calling your city, it is illegal to rent places like that are full of vermin, in most states anyway.

I have been answering this same question about roaches for about 2 weeks now - and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt THIS WORKS.
make a mixture of 20 Mule Team Borax, cayenne pepper, and crushed bay leaves. Sprinkle this everywhere. Not in your tv but around it, under your couch and chair cushions, under the furniture, over the doors, around windows, along the baseboards (where children can’t get to it), under your mattresses, in the toyboxes in drawers, cabinets under the refridgerator, in the stove and under the stove, the sink area - basically everywhere (using care not to leave in areas where the children can have contact with it)
leave it - after about 2 weeks check these areas again - vacuum where you can to get up any egg sacs and dead roaches - then reapply
the longer you leave this mixture the more roaches you get rid of
