Um do you have The Sims 2 or 1.
That could be a way of designing it.
There is a software called ArciCAD.
You can download it off the computer i think.

Convert one of the kitchens into something else as a 2nd kitchen is almost pointless, its hard to say without knowing what it looks like- download google sketchup (free and trusted name) to design the layouts.

i would try to pick a theme. whether it be outdoor, floral, or antique. and stick with it. carry it through your whole house. this will make it feel personal and flowing walking from one room to the next. change the colors in each room but pick them out from your theme so they all compliment eachother. for example i chose grapes. my living room is a light green with small pink accents (red is greens complementary color) then my dining room is a very light shade of purple with green and blue accents. my kitchen is blue with (you guessed it) purple and green accents. pulling in the colors from your other rooms and using them in your accents ties your whole house together. this gives each room its own character yet you dont seem to even notice the drastic change n color. picking a theme and then decorating around it makes it easy, and sets your home up flawlessly decorated.
