It doesn’t matter about others people’s opinion. It just defines who you are. Not bad, but just unique. That’s what i normally think since i have alot of random knick-knacks and paraphernalia in my own room scattered around the floor.

I would say the person is probably just really busy. I keep my house pretty clean, but I have to admit, I do tend to pile up things like the mail for a few days before sorting through it all. For me, its mainly because between working, going to school, and raising three kids, time is a rare commodity. Maybe your friend just has alot going on, or maybe they feel like they don’t need to have a spotless house to be happy. I guess its all about each persons idea of what clean is, and what their priorities are.

I do not think it says too much about a person maybe just that they are lazy and do not really care. Lots of people are like that messy and never clean up but are also germ freaks as well, they are anal about one thing but do not really care to actually clean.

generally, messy people are more right-brained and clean organised ones are left-brained.

the right side of the brain is the creative side, the other is used for logical and what not.

It actually ’says nothing,’ but it does ’suggest a great deal.’

Is the house person lives in ‘their house’. Are they the sole occupier of it. If not, if they are ‘living in someone else’s house’, then it suggests that they do not care for the values that others have ~ are possibly indifferent and or disrespectful etc etc.

It depends upon various circumstances and criteria’s.

Being messy does not always mean laziness. Some people simply cannot organise and some people have mess because they are busy leading a full life and perhaps are a little out of balance.

Not everyone enjoys being very organised because they have skills and talents in other areas of their life.

Clutter often accumilates as a result of unfinished business, ie procrastinated decisions that need to be made. The two biggest excuses for not making decisions are related to the past or future mindset.

People who hold onto every past memory are often sentimental. They need to learn to let go. A few memories are natural and good, but boxes or bags of stuff are a sign its too much. It is only by letting go that new opportunites automatically happen.

People who worry about the future hold on the things “just in case” a few just in case items are necessary, but realistically is it worth taking up space your whole life for that one off occassion. Its a matter of having faith that life has a way of providing what we need most.

Think of it like this, if we just eat and eat and never go to the toilet, we would get constipated. We are designed to let food in and let waste out. Same with life, if we accumilate and don’t let go as well, we become stuck, stale and in rut.

Its good to let things go that
1. dont serve a purpose or function in that area
2. is broken or obsolete
3. is way more than realistically necessary
4. has any form of negative association attached to it.
