Please help me choose a paint color for my kitchen.
By on April 20th, 2008
I just remodeled my kitchen and the only thing holding me back is the paint color. I have no idea of what direction to go.
I have honey brown hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, black galaxy granite counter top, and cabinets that are a couple of shades darker than the flooring with stainless steel hardware. No window treatments at this time.I’ll do it after the painting is complete. Thanks for any suggestions.
Where can I sell old fixtures.

My husband & I are remodeling a 1950’s ranch style home in Dallas, TX. We are taking the house to the studs and just took off all of the original door knobs, cabinet knobs in the kitchen/bathrooms, and all other knobs in the home (on the entertainment built-ins, etc.) prior to the demo work. These are all original 1950’s knobs and are actually pretty nice; however, we are into the modern look so these will not work for us. We have the crystal door-knobs on all doors and gold (very heavy) knobs on all kitchen, bathroom, etc. drawers/cabinets. Does anyone know where I can sell these. I have never tried to sell anything on eBay, but will do it if there is no where else to take these. They are definitely “nice” and someone could refurbish, so I am sure that there would be some interest somewhere. Thoughts.
design/remodeling computer software.
By on April 18th, 2008
my boyfriend and I are always remodeling our house and knocking down walls. he also flips houses. so our question is what is the best computer software for redesigning. he has his degree in autocad but we would like something similar to what you see on the HGTV shows like “Hidden Potential” and “Spice up my Kitchen”. If you have a favorite home design software I’d love to know what it is.
Thank you.

My husband and I are selling our RV. It’s beautiful, we live in it full time in the mtn’s and are going to start a family so we need more room. It’s 39′, has carpet and tile, a huge (for RV) L-shaped kitchen with stove, oven, built in microwave, pantry, Whirlpool refrigerator and freezer, has Kenmore washer and dryer, Queen size bed, nice size closet, glass enclosed shower, separate room for toilet, living room has entertainment center, computer desk, two leather recliners, queen sleeper sofa, table with four chairs, fireplace and lots of cabinets for storage. It’s insulated so great in summer or winter, has two a/c units, central heat/air, outside shower, electric leveling jacks. It’s prepped for a generator and has a huge storage area underneath. Also has ladder to access roof and luggage rack. 2004 Forest River,Cedar Creek, Model 37CKQS, Silverstream Series, sleeps 4, has 4 slideouts, has great warranty for two more years. NADA value is $55,930 but asking $43,000 or best offer.
Donating to candidates. What about your community.
By on April 15th, 2008
Asking this because a person I grew up with is bragging that they just sent Obama 100 bucks, now its not a lot, but the person lives across the street from a food pantry.
Are anyone of us doing our part to save the country or are most of us just throwing money and votes a one person and expecting them to do it.
Obama has enough money, the economy has crashed, some of you may say, Im not gonna help lazy people who won’t get a job, corrrect those types shouldn’t even ask for help.
but there are families were the sole supporter recently died and left wife n kids behind, or someone close to retirement and the company just let them go with no warning.
Im not accusing anyone or trying to rant, im just asking, Obama got 200 plus million in donations the other candidates got a lot too,
Are there any of us that are doing our part to save the community, Volunteer work, soup kitchens, can drives.
What have you done for your community lately, how can all of us help this problem together.
Scratches on Corian Countertops.PLEASE help.
By on April 14th, 2008
Last year, we remodeled our kitchen and, unfortunately, we picked Corian Countertops. From day one, scratches showed up. Now, there are numerous scratches, most are minor but there are many, many of them.
Anyone have any ideas how to get rid of or ‘polish out’ these scratches.

Hello. My name Tamara Grisham, proud owner of a wonderful online business known as Roos Goodies.
We sell a variety of items through the web site itself and through an online store on Ebay. We sell kitchen and home décor, candles and scents, and even tools and other items for the man in the family. Our prices are very low but we don’t sacrifice quality for anything. We ship around the world if requested and a detailed list of shipping costs is on the front page of our site at www.Roos-Goodies.com.
I thank you for taking the time to read this information and I hope to talk to you again soon, whether it be merely causal or about the web site and its items.
If you would take the time to visit the site I would appreciate it and I would be grateful if you would sign our guest book or post in our NEW forums. Thanks again,
Tamara G.
I am planning on editing the template/background. Plus I am also going to make the shipping information much more clear.
Uncontrollable dog.

I have an 8 month old Doberman male with Yuguslavian bloodlines in him. He’s not fully European though, I would say he’s mostly from Irish dogs. (Im in Ireland).
He jumps up on the counters and table in the kitchen to destroy anything he can. We cant keep anything in there, we have the bin in the hall. He put his paw up on the TV, where theres a kind of handle, pulled it and knocked the TV over, thank god it didn’t smash, it landed face down on the counter.
He uses his paws like hands.
He steals and destroys anything he can get hold of. He has eaten whole loafs of bread. He scatters the contents of bags if they are accidently left in the kitchen. No matter how far you push the stuff in on the counter, he will get it.
He destroyed his bed, he’s gone through 3.
If he sees another dog, or maybe a person on a walk, he is gone like a shot and no amount of calling brings him back.
He pulls on the lead, he pulls less with the prong collar on, but he still pulls.
I use it correctly, giving him “pops” on the lead, etc.
He chewed the outer plastic stuff on the back door off. He’s actually scraped plaster and paint off the wall with his teeth.
He can open doors with handles no problem.
Our other dog, a small terrier, cant be in the kitchen with him because he harrasses her , playing, but he’s a little rough and she’s so loud, its turmoil.
He obeys me with sit, down, stay, etc. well. I train him with the help of Ed Frawlys DVD. I give him commands properly, and he is not a dominant dog. I am the alpha, its just like he’s a child with severe ADD. Is this possible with dogs.
As soon as we leave the kitchen, he’s up on the worktops. We got him a shock collar, not strong enough, we sent him a to a trainer, he was a rip off merchant, I have done my very best to socialise him with dogs and people, I am going to bring him to a training class, not to learn how to train him, just to get him used to ignoring other dogs and people.
He is really well trained with sit, down, stay, sit stay, down stay, paw, etc., he knows what ‘NO’ means, he just chooses to ignore it.
Believe me its not because I havn’t trained him, he is more well trained than most dogs I know.
He gets attention, my mother is in the kitchen most of the day, most days.
He usually gets 2 walks a day for at least 20 minutes, through fields.
What is wrong. What can I do. My parents are seriously thinking of getting rid of him.
Don’t tell me there are no bad dogs, only bad owners, because we have done the very best we can for him. He gets Burns organic food, I reasearched everything possible about dobermans before getting him, I know more than most people about dogs, so gimme a break.
Will he calm down at about 2 years old.
Misa M - I have an excellent recall on this dog, WHEN there are no other dogs, he turns around and comes promptly, so don’t tell me I have no recall.
Its just he has these days where he is so bad. He ran off through 3 fields and through the estate when my dad took him out this morning.
He is OBVIOUSLY not allowed free run of the house. He’s only allowed in the kitchen and the back yard because he would destroy the house. And he freezes when its cold outside so I can’t just leave him out there and forget about him.
I use rewards all the time, and corrections. Like I said, Ed Frawleys methods.
Yes greekman I know how to use the shock collar, I thought it was strong enough, he just desensitised himself to it. He is hugly strong willed.
And of course I use corrections, I’m not an idiot.
I have never met a dog like this before.
A crate. How will that help. So I keep him in a cage, taking him out only sometimes. I’m sorry but that would not work, he would co mental. I think he needs more stimulation, a crate would completly bore him. He only plays with his toys when I’m there to play with him.
Thanks for the answers
Thanks, ainawgsd. I actually do make him wait before eating, doors, etc. Your answer was helpful.
I hope I don’t have to get rid of him.
Cheers
