Kitchen cupboards: try applying acrylic primer/undercoat (crown is good) using a small 6″ gloss roller (you get a small paint tray to use with it) the rollers are foam or flock and don’t leave brush marks. you can then paint using a satin finish gloss - or Dulux Satinwood using the roller again - for a long-lasting finish.
