Most of the new homes today are done in a neutral of some sort. I chose 2 similar sage colors throughout including my kitchen and breakfast. You can update your kitchen cabinets by sanding and re-staining and adding new hardware. White or off-white is fine if you prefer. I have all stainless appliances and little to no fingerprint issues but I use a stainless polish on them. The newer stainless aren’t at all like the older appliances. My cabinets and floors are cherry with black/gray/white granite. You can also look at taupe colors since you seem to like the gray, brown palette without getting too dark with a chocolate. Try to avoid getting too bright or dark with your color scheme. My sages really makes everything warm and inviting and everything seems to pop against it. Get some color wheels from your local hardware and put up the ones you like. Colors look different at different times of the day and night.
