Designing a kitchen and notice my fridge won’t be flush with the pantry next to it.

I’m going to be putting in a 8ft pantry. The supplier that I’m getting it from only makes them up to 24″ depth. However, my fridge is 31″ depth. What is the best way to deal with this situation. The fridge is going to be in the corner and I want to put the pantry between the wall and the fridge. You will almost have to reach in to get to the pantry.

Maybe the installer can attatch a few pieces of wood to the wall behind the pantry to bring it out to a depth that matches the fridge. Kinda like shims but on a bigger scale. Might would work. You might have to cover any gaps with trim or molding. Good luck.

that’s standard. As we speak we are totally redoing our kitchen (new pantries, countertop, refinished floors, etc.)
We also got a 8 foot pantry and cabinets over the refridge. Our regridge also sticks out and this is normal. The doors need room to open.
