Burns on kitchen linoleum.

By on March 15th, 2008

Accidentally dropped a coal on the kitchen counter which happened to bounce off the counter onto the kitchen linoleum and scattered all over the place. There are a few black burns on the linoleum.any ideas how to make it look more presentable. I’ve heard of using white-out but any other ideas would be great. Thanks.

What you need to do is this. First, if you have a spare piece of linoleum, put several small pieces in a blender and chop it into powder or very fine pieces. then, use a chisel and remove burnt area. then get some gorilla glue or strong bonding glue and mix some of the linoleum powder into the glue in a small cup that can be thrown away. use little glue and lots of powder so that you make a thick paste. use a Popsicle stick or equivalent to scoop up mixture and smooth into hole in floor. smooth as best as you can. NOTE: this will only work for smaller holes, if it is more than half an inch or so, you may notice the repair more easily.
