Can someone help me solve this algebra problem I’m clueless on how to approach this.

A kitchen pantry area as shown in the figure is to be covered in floor tiles. What will it cost to tile the floor if each square tile whose measures 6” costs $.82.

    what you first go about doing is break that image into three rectangles, the first being 4 and 2.6, then 8 and (2 + 2.6) so 8 and 4.6 and then (2.6 + 2+5) which equals 9.6 and 9. so find the area of each multiply by the cost and sum them up. hope that helped.
