So you have a typical apartment with white walls. My wife and I learned a long time ago to do this trick–select a fabric you would like if it were on the walls. Dip the fabric in liquid starch and put on the wall(s) like wallpaper. Let it dry. When you want to remove it to vacate the apartment or to change the pattern, simply pull it off the wall(s). Then with a mild soap and warm water, wash the wall. No one will ever know you had something on the wall(s). Do not use in the bathroom as shower/bath moisture will loosen the fabric from the wall(s). We used this trick in several of the apartments we shared and have now used it in a few of the homes we shared.

a great way to add color to an apartment kitchen is with window treatments and area rugs. what ever color your dishes are, start an accent color. add matching kitchen towlels hung on the handle of your oven and even coordinating artwork on the walls. matching pillows on the chairs and placemats on the table will tie it all together.

You should use muted jade green as an accent. It looks great and modern with white. Sheer jade green for curtains to bring sunlight in & green vase accents with yellow daffodils or orchides with big green leaves will give it a minimal and very modern look. You can also add stainless steel products like blender or coffee maker with jade pcs.It will go together. hope it helps.

1] pick your fav color [ say yellow ] his [ say blue ] and one you both like [ say red ].
2] do living room [ pillow, rugs, drapes, vases/planters, ornaments, artwork ] in one color,
kitchen [ curtains, table cloth /placemats, decorative canisters or cookie jar, flowered plants, small appliances ] in cooks fav color, and
bedroom [ see LR ideas ] a combo of his and hers fav colors.
3] use the third color for small accents, or a second bedroom/office.

Sometimes they’ll let you paint if you sign agreement to repaint white before you leave. Just ask.If so, you’ll have thousands of options.
