According to Better Homes and Gardens, in 2008, the trend in kitchens will lean toward the casual. This year, it's all about getting back to basics. Says the magazine, "A clean, open look thanks to lack of upper cabinets and a fresh color scheme" give the kitchen a contemporary appeal.
