Stainless Steel Kitchen Sinks: No Contamination Here

Stainless steel kitchen sinks come in many styles and price ranges. Most manufacturers of sinks will offer at least one model for your home. The easiness of cleaning, stain resistance and utility of these sinks have made them one of the most popular of kitchen sinks. Most new homes come with stainless steel kitchen sinks. The variety of styles available will fit into any dיcor you choose for your kitchen. The simplistic appearance of stainless steel kitchen sinks and the modern utility they add to your kitchen will never go out of style.

Stainless steel kitchen sinks are available in either undercounter or overcounter models from most manufacturers. Single, double and triple basin versions with depths from five inches deep to 8 inches deep are available from most dealers. The double basin versions of stainless steel kitchen sinks are available in equally sized rectangular basins of various depths and in unequally sized basins with different depths for each basin. You can also find double basin versions with rounded basins rather than rectangular basins. This style adds a sleek modern appearance to your kitchen. One version even comes with both basins being at right angles to each other to have the utility of a double basin sink in less than normal sink space on your kitchen counter. Most of the triple basin versions have the third basin being a sink to rinse vegetables complete with a full basin sized strainer for ease of use. The styles of stainless steel kitchen sinks available for your selection will amaze you.

These stainless steel kitchen sinks are also a lot healthier for you and your family. Stainless steel does not hold contaminants such as bacteria that cause illnesses and diseases as well as porcelain sinks. For this reason, many health codes require a stainless steel sink for restaurants and public dining establishments. This is one of the added benefits of installing a stainless steel sink in your home.

In addition, stainless steel kitchen sinks are available by almost every home dיcor retailer at a varying price range. Of course, the price will have a lot to do with the features you choose for your future sink. Since there are so many possible options, the sinks can range in price from extremely affordable to extremely expensive. Most home dיcor retailers will offer a wide variety for you to choose from. Should you have special requirements, you may be able to have your sink specially made. If your local home dיcor retailer does not offer special orders, you may find it necessary to visit an online retailer store. Often, these retail shops will indeed special order a stainless steel sink to meet your requirements.

My New Stainless Steel Kitchen Cabinets Base stainless

By admin on January 10th, 2008

My New Stainless Steel Kitchen Cabinets

Base stainless steel kitchen cabinets are available in four different sizes. There is one of the four base stainless steel kitchen cabinets that have two doors and a false panel. This is our best seller.

We also sell base stainless steel kitchen cabinets with three drawers. This one is gaining in popularity. I have several stainless steel kitchen cabinets on display at our shop and the stainless steel kitchen cabinets with one drawer and one door get very little attention.

I like the stainless steel kitchen cabinets for the walls. We have a designer series of stainless steel kitchen cabinets that have stainless door and drawer fronts over a high-quality wood cabinet. The insides of the cabinets are melamine.

I was surprised when the stainless steel kitchen cabinets with two doors and no shelf became the best seller. Of all three styles of stainless steel kitchen cabinets for walls that we carry, I would have thought that the one with one drawer and two shelves would be the most popular.

The individuality of a buyer is revealed when they are choosing to upgrade their stainless steel kitchen cabinets with laminate either inside or outside the cabinet. We use a company that has wonderful laminates and the stainless steel kitchen cabinets end up looking fantastic.

I sold some stainless steel kitchen cabinets to a couple in Sante Fe, New Mexico. They requested Imperial Topaz premium laminate for the insides of their new stainless steel kitchen cabinets. I was impressed by how elegant the cabinets ended up being.

There was another couple that called me from Newark, New Jersey and they ordered ten stainless steel kitchen cabinets with Deepstar Fossil high definition laminate. This was the most expensive order that I’ve filled since I’ve been here. The laminate that they chose for their new stainless steel kitchen cabinets was so pretty.

I chose Deepstar Slate for the wall stainless steel kitchen cabinets that I purchased. I wanted the shelves to look cutting edge. My new kitchen looks almost space age. The stainless steel kitchen cabinets look so pretty.

I have been choosing stainless steel appliances to go with the stainless steel kitchen cabinets. The refrigerator I chose was really nice. It has two full-height doors that open from the center. The freezer compartment is on the left and this freezer has a lot of storage space.

I was very fortunate when I was trying to match my new stainless steel kitchen cabinets with a freestanding range. I found one clearance priced at Sears.Com. The range I ended up purchasing was self cleaning and electric. I was able to pick it up at my local Sears and it cost around five hundred dollars.

I was also able to locate a good dishwasher to go with my new stainless steel kitchen cabinets. I was able to purchase an extremely high quality dishwasher for seven hundred fifty dollars. I’ve never had such a quiet dishwasher.

The contour door is a nice touch. The overall style of the dishwasher fit with my new stainless steel kitchen cabinets perfectly. I think that I like my new kitchen more than I thought I would. The clean lines of the stainless steel kitchen cabinets make the kitchen feel serene. I like to keep a vase of calla lilies on the counter to soften the look a little.

Resurfacing Kitchen Cabinets Makes Old Cabinets Like New

Resurfacing Kitchen Cabinets Makes Old Cabinets Like New

Resurfacing Kitchen Cabinets is a very simple and straight forward project as long as you have the basic tools necessary and a can do attitude. If you will be working with wood that has been finished and has many layers, you will have to strip the remaining finish using a stripping solvent mixture.

If the cabinets’ finishes have mostly worn away, then you may be able to get away with sanding down the remaining finish. If you want a perfect resurfacing job, then you must remove all of the raised portions of residual wood finish.

Using a chemical solvent to remove old wood finish is not difficult, but it can be quite time consuming and takes a fair amount of elbow grease. Apply the stripping solvent with a paint brush and allow the mixture to sit and soak into the wood for as long as the instructions say, or longer.

You’ll notice that the wood stripping solution begins to thicken and becomes bumpy. This is the solvent at work, drawing finish out of the wood itself. When it is time to remove the solvent and the old finish, you will need a combination of stiff and flexible materials with which you can scrape off the goop.

Start with a flat bladed instrument and scrape all of the flat surfaces. For the finer lines and embellishments, you will need to use something more flexible like a scrubbing pad or rough cloth of some kind. Simply remove all of the stuff coating the cabinets.

If there is still left over finish, you may have to repeat the stripping process all over again or wait until the wood is dry and use sandpaper to remove the excess, if there are only small patches of finish left on the wood’s surfaces.

You may find it useful to use a light soap and water solution to remove any excess mixture of stripping solution and old dissolved finish material. The wood must be clean and completely dry before you move on to the rest of your resurfacing kitchen cabinets project.

Once the kitchen cabinets have dried completely, you may proceed with your resurfacing plans. Whether you’re going to apply a granite countertop, some stain or paint, the preparation procedures are the same. Clean, dry surfaces make stains sink in and paint and adhesive stick for years.

I’ve found many of the home improvement websites like http://homedepot.com to be very useful in selecting all of the necessary components for projects, like hardware, adhesives and such. There are man handy guides that you can use to make sure you’re not missing anything and even which products are best for certain kinds of home improvement projects.

Also, the employees of these kinds of stores tend to be very knowledgeable about many home improvement products and procedures. If you have any questions, be sure to ask for assistance if you’re at the retail location, as it is more than likely that the people there will be able to offer all kinds of helpful suggestions.

Restaining Kitchen Cabinets: Step by Step Have you

Restaining Kitchen Cabinets: Step by Step

Have you been thinking that it’s time to update your tired old kitchen? Kitchen renovations are among the most popular projects commonly undertaken by homeowners. One of the reasons this is such a popular project is that so much of our time is spent in the kitchen. Kitchen renovations are also one of the best ways to increase the value of your home. Whether you’ve got a hefty budget or hardly any budget at all, restaining kitchen cabinets can revitalize even the most exhausted kitchen dיcor.

First things first; before we can add a fresh coat of stain, finish or paint, we must remove as much of the old finish as possible. Unless the old finish is completely removed the new stain will not be able to penetrate into the grain the way it is supposed to.

To strip kitchen cabinets of their old finish, use a wood stripping solvent. These can be found in any home improvement or hardware store. Simply take a little time to compare the different products. For the most part, wood stripper is wood stripper, but there are some specialty products that may or may not be more effective for the particular type of wood or finish that you’re working with.

You’ll want to pour the wood stripper stuff into bowl type of container if it doesn’t already come that way. Apply the stripping solvent to the kitchen cabinets using a paint brush. You’ll soon notice that the solution becomes rather thick and even a bit bubbly. This is the finish dissolving and coming out of the wood.

Here’s what makes restaining kitchen cabinets so much fun: Now you must remove the stripping solvent and finish mixture using any means necessary. You’ll want to scrape the flat surfaces with something flat and metallic, but you will probably need to use some flexible scouring pads or cloth to get into the crevices and remove all the goop.

You may very well have to apply and scrape off the wood striper more than once. Especially with very old wood whose finish has been touched up countless times over the years, it is possible that some old finish will remain after one stripping session. Of course, the longer you leave the solution on, the more finish it will remove in a session.

It’s not a bad idea to rub down the wood with some mineral spirits or even soapy water where the stripping goop remains. Then allow the cabinets to dry thoroughly before even thinking about moving on the staining portion or your project.

When the cabinets have dried completely, begin to apply your stain. Only application and your own eyes can tell you if you’ll need more than one coat of stain. If you want the color more vibrant, apply more stain. Unlike finishing materials, you don’t have to wait for stain to dry completely before adding more, but it is a good idea to let it soak in all the way before deciding if it needs more stain.

Wipe excess stain from the wood with a clean cloth. Be sure to finish your creation off with a good finish or other wood protecting material to keep your new kitchen cabinets looking great for years to come.

Repainting Kitchen Cabinets: DIY Repainting kitchen cabinets is

Repainting Kitchen Cabinets: DIY

Repainting kitchen cabinets is really a pretty straight forward process. All it takes it the proper tools and materials and a little bit of patience and effort. Repainting kitchen cabinets can be a very satisfying family project too. Get everyone involved and make a weekend project of it!

There are few things in life as satisfying as finding a great deal on some beautiful old kitchen cabinets that just need a little TLC. So go ahead and buy those hideous pink kitchen cabinets with the great woodworking details and precise lines. With a little bit of elbow grease your kitchen cabinets will be good as new.

First things first: If the cabinets that need to be repainted have been finished, they will need to be stripped if you want the lines of the woodwork to show up nicely. You can find stripping solution at any hardware or home improvement store. Follow the instructions and be prepared for this process to be the most time consuming portion of the whole project.

If your cabinets are finished or painted, but seem to have only one or two thin coats that have mostly rubbed off, you can get by fine with sanding down the paint edges and roughing up the flat areas using a gritty sandpaper.

If you must use a stripping solution, be sure to take precautions and protect skin and eyes, as this stuff can be rather caustic. The annoying and time consuming part about stripping wood cabinets is that once you leave the goop on to begin dissolving and drawing out the finish, you must scrape the resulting gunk off of all the planes and crevices. This can be very detail oriented work if you want it done well the first time.

Once the wood kitchen cabinets have been prepared with sandpaper and or stripped of the old finish, it’s time to apply a fresh coat of paint. Take your time and carefully apply a thin coat of paint and allow to dry overnight or longer before applying the second coat. I suggest you opt for a sateen or semi-gloss so that they will be relatively easy to clean from time to time.

One thing you may wish to consider, particularly since you’ve taken the time to strip the cabinets, is to use a wash instead of regular paint. A wash is simply watered down paint that soaks into the wood grain. The nice thing about a paint wash is that it will sink into the wood grain and bring out many pretty patterns found within the grain.

You can make a beautifully natural yet stunning effect with a bright shade of paint, using the paint wash method. Even the brightest colors cannot detract from the cabinets’ natural beauty when using a diluted wash mixture. For an aged look, take a second darker paint wash and go over the piece again, focusing on the larger depressions.

When you’ve finished apply your new paint or paint wash to the cabinets, you may wish to add further protection by adding a coat or two of sealant or varnish. You can purchase weatherproof spray or clear wood finish at any hardware store.

Omega Kitchen Cabinets Purchase I just purchased some

By admin on January 5th, 2008

Omega Kitchen Cabinets Purchase

I just purchased some omega kitchen cabinets from the Expo Design Center in Dallas. I’m really excited about the omega kitchen cabinets that I bought. I’ve done business with the Expo Design Center before and have always been really pleased.

Six months before I purchased my omega kitchen cabinets, I went to the Expo Design Center to purchase a built in barbecue grill. I’ve had several parties on my patio since the professional installation was complete.

I spent some time researching the care and cleaning needed for my omega kitchen cabinets. The omega kitchen cabinets are all hand-crafted from really nice hardwoods. The nature of real wood and the finish process that is used during construction of the omega kitchen cabinets demands that care is taken to ensure that they last a lifetime.

The omega kitchen cabinets have a furniture grade finish. They are durable and moisture resistant, but they are not moisture proof. I was told that that any moisture, spill or standing liquid on my omega kitchen cabinets should be wiped up with a soft cotton cloth.

I used to clean my last kitchen cabinets with paper towels. I was told that paper towels are good at absorbing spills, but are too abrasive to clean my new omega kitchen cabinets with. I have already purchased a supply of soft cotton cloths for cleaning.

I was surprised when the salesman for the omega kitchen cabinets told me that I could use Spic and Span to clean my omega kitchen cabinets. I thought that Spic and Span was an abrasive. When Ivory was suggested, that was more in line with my preconceived ideas about a gentle cleanser.

I was told not to ever use harsh chemicals or ammonia based products on my omega kitchen cabinets. They can apparently cause the finish to discolor. I can’t imagine anyone thinking that it would be a good idea to use something like ammonia on omega kitchen cabinets.

I have purchased a humidity gauge for my home. I want to monitor the amount of moisture in my home so that I can control it. I want to control the expansion and contraction of my omega kitchen cabinets. Wood contracts and expands as it regulates its moisture content to the humidity level.

My goal is to maintain the humidity level at or above thirty five percent. The temperature in my home is never below twenty degrees. I am going to work very hard to keep my omega kitchen cabinets nice and new.

I have tried to get my mother to replace her kitchen cabinets with omega kitchen cabinets. She is long overdue for a kitchen overhaul. I think that the different styles of omega kitchen cabinets would suit my mother really well.

I visited the showroom with my mother when my omega kitchen cabinets were close to completion. She liked the choices of finishes available. I just need her to see that the value added to her home would be worth it. She has postponed buying new cabinets for too long.

Maple Kitchen Cabinets: A Splash of Traditional I

Maple Kitchen Cabinets: A Splash of Traditional

I belong to a brunch club with fifteen other women. We get together the second Saturday of every month. The locations are alternated between all of us. I have noticed that a lot of the women have been remodeling their kitchens and using maple kitchen cabinets.

Maple kitchen cabinets looked really stunning in Stella’s new kitchen. She used to have some type of a laminate on the doors that the previous homeowner had installed. She made a great choice with the maple kitchen cabinets and also with the granite countertops.

Stella is a great cook. Her maple kitchen cabinets contain almost every kitchen gadget I’ve ever seen at the cookware store. The day that she hosted our brunch club, I knew she was anxious for everyone to comment on her new maple kitchen cabinets.

When I arrived, I toured the new kitchen and commented on the new maple kitchen cabinets. She had a platter of fresh sliced honeydew melon and cantaloupe. I stood in the kitchen nibbling on the fruit because I was early and Stella was still setting out the food.

She made two different hot dishes for our brunch. I got out some of her china from the maple kitchen cabinets to serve the Puffed Brunch Pie on. She told me that she had used fresh mozzarella and Black Forest ham. It was a delicious dish.

The other hot dish was spooned out of the dish it was cooked in and put onto a serving platter I found in the maple kitchen cabinets. The Blueberry Cheese Strata looked very striking on the white serving platter. There were Swiss cheese and fresh blueberries together in this dish and they complimented each other very well.

As the brunch club women arrived, I directed them to the kitchen and told everyone to give Stella rave reviews on her maple kitchen cabinets. I found the table where Stella had set out two different sweet breads. She had cinnamon buns setting next to some carrot pineapple muffins.

Another member of our brunch club recently had maple kitchen cabinets installed in her home. She hosted a brunch club meeting about six months after they were installed. Everyone in the club loved the maple kitchen cabinets.

Our newest member, Anna, includes kids in our brunch plans. She called me last month to let me know that my kids were welcome and encouraged to come. She planned activities for the kids in the backyard and in the family’s game room. The adults were set up around in the kitchen by the maple kitchen cabinets.

Anna put as much thought into the kid’s brunch as she did into the adult’s brunch. It was sweet to see orange juice with strawberries and even hot chocolate with dishes of marshmallows to put in. She even had special plates for all of the kids in her maple kitchen cabinets.

My kids said that all of the kids had a blast. There was a wide range of ages represented. One member of our group brought a four year old and that was the youngest child. The oldest child in attendance was my daughter who was paid by Anna to supervise the event. My daughter could not stop talking about how cool Anna was and how much she liked her new maple kitchen cabinets.
